My networking is all "plug & play" [where I plug it in and play until it works]
Now if you want to talk RF, well.....

LOL that is how I learned most of my troubleshooting skills...trial and error by admission of clueless mind. :P

Alright sorry for the delay. Had a few things had to take care of. I'm back now. Read over the posts and not really sure what to make of them.

The CCK connects to my network but won't connect to the internet. After it says can't connect
(22)

That's how it shows up on my end.

The 22 is an internal error code that few here really know what it means.
I'm sure you may have done this already, "but" rebooting the router might help.
If the BB DECA worked, and you have the WCCK connected, you shouldn't be having a problem.
You can restore network defaults on the receiver and use "connect now" but this time select wired network, since the WCCK is already setup.

IP address 10.0.0.10 Ok
subnet mask 255.255.255.o OK
default gateway 10.0.0.1 OK
DNS 75.75.76.76 OK
Network Connected
Internet Not Connected
(22)

Result code 86-276

OK so DNS was already stated to be error code 22. Did we determine if that was the passthrough at 10.0.0.10 or if there is indeed an IP conflict?

The installer used the 75ft cable just to confirm it worked. And then took it with him. Can't do a wired set up.

Think that may be from a network person, but not a DirecTV person, and I'm not sure they're the same.

Not Connected (22) represents a DNS problem, the reciever is unable to resolve the host Directv.com... you can put an alternate DNS in your router like google's, 8.8.8.8 and see if that helps.

EDIT: Also try restore defaults and connect now like VOS said.

I just simply have my router IP as my DNS in my DVR Network setup. Seemed the simplest solution. Let the router do its job.

You don't need to re-run the wireless setup since the WCCK is already connected to your network.
"From the receiver's point of view" it's now a wired connection.
Believe me I know how this works.

I wanted to add that because "I've been here/there" many many times and the wireless setup is only needed to configure the adapter [once] and the receiver then only needs to use the wired configuration, which was how this one worked with the tech.

Sorry now I get what you are saying I'm trying that now.

No worry, as there's a lot going on here.

I'm just trying to get you back to the basics that should work for you.

The steps I am talking about above are in the DVR receiver settings, not the WCCK.

Clarify exactly what you did please.

To fix the DNS issue go into your settings on your DVR and go to Network Setup and then Advanced Setup. Change the DNS to either your ISP's DNS server or put in your router's IP address. I have the latter on my setup and it works flawlessly.

You could also try the OpenDNS servers 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220

I'm sort of lost here so...

Is this a one receiver setup and which model receiver?

That's the WCCK, and I'm asking about the DVR.

Is it an HR24, HR34 or some other model?

Does the WCCK have the same type of network setup in its settings as I outlined in post #90?

Another situation where the receiver might come back with a (22) is where the router is granting ip addresses but not actually passing traffic back and forth to where it should, tricking the receiver into thinking its a name resolution problem when it's something else. An IP address conflict would seem to be a possibility here.

That's what I was thinking from the beginning with two devices using 10.0.0.10

And yet another case may be if this DVR has two ethernet ports and it's plugged into the wrong one.

HR21/100 is your receiver model number in all that.

Have you done the steps in post #90 yet?
