Red Zone Channel without ST

friend of mine got a call today, said since he was a preferred customer, not late on a payment for last 2 years he was being upgraded to get all movie channels including NFL Sunday ticket, for a additional $5 month for three months. They said to call back in 3 months to cancel movies if he wants.

that is likely a plan do dump people off of the old choice extra.

got a call from office of president and she still says there is no seperate redzone channel.
I told her other cable providers have it seperate. She says they are knock offs and not the real redzone channel.
Said there was no promos on getting ST.

Actually, DirecTv's is the knockoff.

Other way around. DirecTV's is the original. NFLN replicated it later on.

Yeah the NFL Network version premiered in 2009. DirecTV's was at least 2007 (when it went HD).
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

I cant believe that the office of the president wouldnt even give me Redzone or a ST promo. I told her that I have atleast 10 friends that got free redzone. And a couple that agreed to a new contract for ST. She said there was no deals, and no redzone.
I told her ive had directv since 1996 and never been late, pay autobill, pay over $100 a month and dont see why I cant get it.

I had to call yesterday to cancel some auto renewal sports, and while chatting with the cool CSR, I asked if there's any deals for the Max portion of ST since I already had the regular ST. She was looking and I said all I like from Max is RedZone Channel. She said she could add that no problem and it's there.

It's there means on your bill on line? It is a freeview today.

  • What channel package do you have?
  • What premium channel packages do you have?

My acct is in good standing. I have auto bill pay. I have Choice extra classic. I have HD service, HD extra pack, DVR service, I have 3 HD DVRs and 1 HD recv.
I pay over $110 a month.

Only credits I get is the $10 off for HD. They also gave me 6 months free Starz during the Viacom dispute, I didnt ask for it, they just gave it to me when I called and ask the status of getting the channels back.

Called on monday and talked to retention. They were offering ST for $149 but I politely declined. I just simply mentioned that other existing customers were receiving red zone standalone.

She then looked at my account and said the she can go ahead and add it. Chit chatted for a few minutes about the lions and then completed my call.

I called and asked about getting the Redzone channel. I was told not without buying ST Max. I offered to buy Sunday Ticket if they would throw in RZ channel and I was told no. I'll be canceling next week.

Cant say I blame you. I got it free for the last three years (offered to pay, but they wouldnt sell it ala carte). Then this past December I upgraded to an HR34 and it started a new contract. Now they wont give me red zone anymore...so I am getting it from Xfinity.
