As an aside, the Rangers will have no blackouts this year for extended market fans. These are households in upstate NY, part of Pennsylvania and Connecticut who received only a portion of the games on MSG and MSG plus.

Just canceled, didn't get any offer of discounts or anything from the CSR to try to get me to stay, for those hoping to get it cheaper. I added it up and between the free preview and games on NBC/NBCSN/NHLN, I will get fully half of the Devils schedule this year without CI and I don't have time to watch all the games anyway.

The Oil used to charge $199.95 for a 16 game package of PPV games. Clearly some of the Canadian teams have a higher opinion of what fees their TV packages should command than most of the US teams.

LR(non-CE): HR44, Mits 65C9; Office/FR (CE): HR22-100 + AM21, Mits 60737 + Mits 3DA1 3D adapter. Spare bedroom (non-CE), HR23. Genie WHDVR, wireless networking (yay!)

Just contacted Directv about a deal and the best they could do, was $59.96 for this shortened season, but they did give me 6 months of Showtime and Starz for free. The CSR told me to call back, after the free preview and there may be a better price, for the rest of the season.

Not much different from the high price of Sunday Ticket in the US, and it is a lot cheaper in Canada.

I am sure that half way through the shortened season they will offer the rest of the season at a reduced price, like they usually do at mid season.

That was for games that where not able to fit on the rogers sportsnet channels befor they stated up sportsnet one.

And the teams had to payed for the costs of doing the games and they where not able to put ANY ad's brakes on them do to CRTC rules.

The blackhawks had PPV games for a short time then a long time (years) of next to no games on TV.
I want CLTV / CLTV HD on direct tv.

So it is confirmed that on DirecTV, it will be a 2 week free preview of NHL CI?

Website now shows free preview from Jan. 19th through 31st, so a little less than 2 weeks.

I'm having trouble linking my Roku with NHL GC account. I goto www.nhl.com/roku to enter the code the Roku gives, but there's nowhere to enter it. Anyone else having trouble?
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Yes, they are in the process of releasing a new set of apps for GCL for the new season, including Roku and Xbox. As usual, there are no confirmed release dates but I have heard on other boards that they are trying to get them all released by Saturday.

Maybe not all games but I only care about the Blackhawks games and they were all in HD last year except the games played in Canada.

All Blackhawks games are HD and have been for at least the last 3-4 years.

The WGN games on CI have been SD only (WGN feed) NHL network has shown WGN games in HD over the years.
