I was using some of those wireless phone jacks that use the house power lines for a phone extension, and one or both of them have died. My HR20-700 is connected to my home network, other than for Caller ID messages do I still need to have the DVR hooked up to the phone line? If so what do I lose by not having a phone line?

Are there other ways to get a phone extension at the DVR other than those Wireless jacks that use power lines? I use them for ethernet too I wonder if that's the problem. Thanks

Absolutely no features lost if you have an Internet connection, other than what you mentioned.
