Rights to Epix were included in the recent deal Directv signed with Viacom. The way I understand it, Directv has the rights to Epix at a set price for the next year if they choose to add the service, however it was Directv's call as to if/when to offer Epix.

From the press releases, it sounded as if Directv had no real interest in Epix, but had no objection to having the option in the contract. It was more of a face-saving effort on Viacom's part so say, "yeah, Epix was part of the Directv deal."

That probably doesn't answer your question, but then the only source that truly can is inside Directv.

Yeah, I have a feeling the only way DirecTV would consider adding it was as a separate tier in its own, and I'll bet the option contract is not set up that way, so they won't be adding it. But who knows.

Yeah, but rumor was Viacom wanted a flat rate, and Direct won't ever do that.

Wasn't rumor. But I think that went away. But no one knows what the option is. Never stated publicly. Assume it is some set price if they want to put it on.

Any minimal interest I had in G4 in HD on DirecTV (or even in SD) went away with the news of Attack of the Show and X-Play going the way of the Dodo.

By this time next year, G4 might not even exist anymore as we know it.

All I see is 1 episode of Bomb Girls.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

Yes, Reelz has an HD channel on C Band in HD. It looks very good. Too bad that Directv wouldn't add this channel in HD.

No matter how good the PQ is, Reelz still hacks movies. I would never watch it unless they quit editing the movies.

Reelz is odd. A few systems don't have linear HD but do have on demand HD.

I see 1238 has World Without End. Not a great treatment of the book but pretty.

Yeah they do, there's an episode of That Metal Show on the VOD channel (1337).

That is so, but Viacom doesn't offer a VH1C signal in HD, yet. MGM VOD has movies in 1080P also, but we don't see those broadcast.

Yes, they do have 4 episodes of that mini-series. I wonder if they will actually put all of that series up as a VOD?

That is all that is available for the U.S. Reelz is releasing it to VOD as they show it. It has all been shown in Canada but not yet here.
