HLN and TV Land seem overdue. And I would probably watch more Cooking Channel if it was in HD -- I tend to skip over it now.

I've watched some HD content from Cooking Channel from DirecTV's On Demand (ch. 1232). Everything looks great, and every bit as sharp as from regularly carried parent programmer Food Network HD.

I agree about the other two programmers. And right now I have on my TV a marathon of Bomb Girls episodes appearing on Reelz Channel. Everything from that programmer's HD content (ch. 1238) also looks great.

I'd be very happy to see a 24/7 HD feed of BBC World News, something that Directv should have added years ago in SD. Time Warner Cable is now adding it in HD to their systems(http://www.broadcast..._World_News.php) and it hopefully will soon be on other providers. Time for a decent world news channel, Directv!

We are at the end of 2012 and this 4th quarter anticipation thread. Lets go 2013 and a new beginning with lots more HD as Satracer implied. I would go with the BBC World News idea since they do have a great, non biased reporting style.

I have world news on fios in SD. The HD show on bbca for world news isn't very good HD. The Sd on fios is close to it.

The next HD channel I want to see is CSN Houston. ;)
