For HDDVR's
Channel Up / Down: 8 sec
Record: 6 sec
Power On / Off: 8 sec
Trickplay (FF, etc.): 1 sec
Guide / Banner: 3 sec
Active - load: 62 sec
Search - title: 2 sec
Active - tune from: 19 sec
Search - person: 34 sec
Mix Channels: 24 sec
Search - channel: 11 sec
Game Lounge - load: 1.5 min
Search - keyword: 58 sec
Game Lounge - play: 1.5 min
Score Guide: 2 sec
CINEMAplus: 13 sec

HD Receivers
Channel Up / Down: 5 sec
Record: NA
Power On / Off: 3 sec
Trickplay (FF, etc.): NA
Guide / Banner: 2 sec
Active - load: 27 sec

There are too many variables for this list to be used as a standard. Command response time differs between the different model receivers. Example: Command response time is faster with a HR24-500 than with a HR22-100. Native mode setting dictates response time for channel changes. Wiring between the receiver and TV (Direct wiring from the receiver to the TV vs wiring to a A/V receiver then on to the TV). You're giving Google too much credit. ;)
