Just posting this for any Dish subs. Just got this notice on facebook:

Today's THV · 70,692 like this
6 minutes ago via Sprout Social ·

‎"A Message for DISH Customers:

At KTHV, we are proud to bring you some of the very best news, weather, sports and entertainment in our area, and to be a part of this community.

In order to serve you, our company must reach agreements with TV providers that bring our signal into your home.

We are currently negotiating such an agreement with DISH. Unfortunately, so far DISH has refused to reach a fair, market-based agreement with us.

If no deal is reached by at the conclusion of October 7th, DISH customers could lose KTHV. That would mean losing some of your favorite programming including NFL & College Football, “NCIS” and “Survivor” and your local KTHV news, weather and sports.

We regret this potential inconvenience. We know it is frustrating to you that you pay 100% of your bill each month, but may not get 100% of the channels you pay for.

We are working hard to reach a deal with DISH and hope that there will be no service disruption. But you should know that your voice can help. If you contact DISH and let them know you want KTHV on air, it may help us reach a deal.

Also, you should know you have choices. KTHV has agreements with every other provider in our area, and we are always available free over-the-air. Click here http://www.todaysthv.com/ to learn more.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message. We will continue to update you as our negotiations continue."

Well, kiss Gannet goodbye. I highly doubt DISH will disable autohop nationwide for 23 local stations most subs can pick up with an antenna.

Just saw the same notice for the NBC affiliate in the Twin Cities, KARE. It's funny if you read the comments on their Facebook page, as almost everyone is angry at Dish. I'm angry at Gannett for using strong arm tactics to negotiate about the auto hop feature.

For all of our sanity, let's keep this all in the main Gannett thread.
