Moving receiver to opposite wall in same room

Just move HR23-600 receiver from wall jack to another in the same room. Will not connect- 771 error

You haven't given much information, but it's fairly clear the wall jack on the other side of the room isn't connected to your dish/SWiM, or what coax you have coming in.

When DirecTV hooks up your system, they don't hook up unused outlets. Sounds like your house was pre-wired for coax outputs. Find where your satellite coax ties into that system and find which one fed your 'old' outlet. Just move that one to the cable that goes to your second outlet in that room.
