I have an usual problem that I cant seem to fix.

I have an HR24 and HR34. I can play everything on the HR24 - both its recordings and the HR34.

I can play the HD recordings from the HR24 on the HR34 over MRV.

But if I try to play an SD recording I get no audio.

I have tried RBR etc on both and even power cycled switches, etc.

Any ideas?

I am using HDMI on the HR34 - but should be no problem as I have audio on HD playback as well as all HR34 live and recorded shows.

It's a known bug.
You can first tune the 34 to a non Dolby channel, and then start the SD MRV, or you can turn off [and back on] Dolby.

The 34 just has a hard time switching Dolby off when it should.

Thanks VOS!

I looked everywhere and couldnt see it as a bug report - my bad.

Not often we have SD shows recorded but the wife had this one she wanted to watch.

Your workaround works!

Cheers!
