For anyone who grabbed a copy of my DirecTV Latin Band Plan before 2:06 PM EDT (1606Z) today, it was incorrect, as pointed out by HoTat2.  In rearranging it into two columns, to fit on a page,  I messed up the TID numbers.  It has been corrected, Thanks HoTat2, for catching that so quickly.

Hi everyone goodnight, I hope you can help me solve my lack of knowledge in this matter that I have.
I brougth from South America especifically Argentina an HD directv decoder model LH-26, it is activated and has almost the full channel package, it has also installed an Original 39 inch round directv dish, pointing to 95W acording to what I know is the Galaxy 3C, what happens is that this dish only catches the PANR1 with almost 98 and 99 % on all transponders except for 25 that is 0, the decoder does not find PANR2, SOUTH and NORTH so I get only the signals of these channels on the next list for the PANR1.

http://www.dbstalk.c...attach_id=26646

Please if you kindly can help me by advising me what to do to make it work correctly.

Thank you very much in advance.

You will never be able to get your Argentine channels in Miami.  The satellites at 95W (have directional antennas to focus their signals on specific regions of  Latin America, with programming for the markets there.  The signals you are looking for do not reach Miami.

Yes, and to expand on what Tom points out;

The footprint of the 16 xpndr Pan-Regional 1 beam from the new DLA-1 satellite payload aboard the IS30 satellite is similar to the former 15 xpndr Beam Oeste from G3C which is receivable even in parts of the US. Particularly the southern portions.

However, the 16 xpndr Pan-Regional 2 beam's footprint is a lot like it's predecessor the former 12 xpndr Beam Sur from G3C spanning all of S.A and the southern Caribbean only, and doesn't reach nearly far enough north to reach the US.

This is even more so the case with the new regional beams comprising Sur (not to be confused with the old Beam Sur mentioned earlier) and Norte, or the SOUTH and NORTH you refer to. These beams are restricted to just the southern and northern regions of S.A. and it's near adjacent waters of the Caribbean.

Both nowhere near the US.

I had a feeling something was up when I spotted the HD logo next to Fox Deportes on the MLB schedule.

It's also using one of the transponders that was recently vacated after the migration of channels to D14

There's also several HD Cinema channels listed as internal records in test at some of those locations on D12. No new channels though, just 9's in front of some existing numbers, so they might be preparing to shift some other channels around:

TPN 9
1010 *FOXDHD (425/624)
1020 *DTV (9160)
1030 *DTV (9150)

TPN 10
1010 *DTV (9151)
1020 *DTV (9152)
1030 *DTV (9153)

TPN 20
1010 *DTV (9154)
1020 *DTV (9155)
1030 *DTV (9156)

TPN 21
1010 *DTV (9157)
1020 *DTV (9158)
1030 *DTV (9159)

NEW    SHEF Command Decoder

In post #2 of this thread, which details the use of SHEF commands to communicate with your Directv Receiver,

we have just added a new capability.  Here is the new text from that post.

5/6/2015:  NEW: A SPECIAL TOOL:

Created and shared by Member  mexican-bum,  below is his Excel program that can initiate your SHEF requests and then using the response from your Directv Receiver in your browser window, it will (tada sound here) parse and convert that hex response into TPN Map type readable information.

Please feel free to share any suggestions by PM to mexian-bum.  But most of all, share your thanks and appreciation for his time and sharing this great tool for all of us to use.

Use the link to download the SHEF Decoder.xlm Excel.

Just uploaded the 5/13/2015 Domestic TPN Map.

Many changes are reflected there.  Some 16 former SW2 TIDs in Network 11 have been deleted in the System Information.  However 22 D14 TIDs in Network 11 have been assigned and many are operational.  In this 5/13 data, D14 is now providing 117 LIL channels, a significant increase in that area.

The TPN Map code has been updated to deal with the new satellite assignments and I think the TPN Map is accurate.  You will note however, that in the case of 3 Augusta, GA, locals,  D14/99S provides the channels but no TPN is shown.  In this case I have not yet been able to resolve the TPN being used.

Sorry, I have no time for analysis until sometime after 5/25/15.

Well Gary ....

At least D14's LiL xpndr numbering is now using the more sensible range of 1-6 as SW2 continues to vacate spotbeam duties at 99s. Though don't know why the full range of 1-8 is not used yet.

The problem is like with the Spaceways before it's now a much more complicated TID--->TPN translation code used than the very simple TID+1 code used when the xpndr numbering was 17-24 just prior.

Guess I'll wait until Tom can repost a new TID map to see if I can help discover the pattern and determine the missing xpndr numbers for Augusta, GA., since you won't be able to get to it until after the 25th.

Unless of course some sub. in that local market can run a SHEF command for us ...

EDIT: Seeing an LiL xpndr "0" for TID 17 at 99s in PR. Assume that's an error in the map's new TID translation code for D14's LiL payload

I have updated my Band Plan with the new data here: http://www.dbstalk.c...y/#entry3357015

I know there are some differences between Gary's transponder map and my band plan as to the satellite providing certain TID's for Net 11 (D14 vs. SW2).

Both Gary and I have limited time this week to resolve the differences, so that will have to wait.  I can make no sense of the TPN numbers reported by Gary for the new D14 spotbeams.  So I have shown them as a question mark.  I would appreciate any information from people in the affected markets to help resolve these issues.

Regarding the D14 / Net 11 / 99S Channels:

The Tom Speer approach above, using question marks for the TPN numbers is clearly the best approach at this point. The TPN numbers now shown for those D14 / 99S channels are assuredly not correct at this time. Doctor J also advises that in Markets 129 and 190, I have SW2 channels shown on TPN 0 - My late night reliability is not so great....

0 showing for a local xpndr in market 213 for PR as well ...

D14 D14 D14 D14 D14 D14 D14 D14

SW2 SW2 SW2 SW2 N/A N/A D11 D11

D11 D11 D11 D11 D11 D11 D11 D11

It is starting to look like they'll end up with something looking very much like this for 99(s) when all is said and done, the TID swap of SW2 and D14 is bringing them closer. The in-between stages might be ugly but the end state probably won't be all that confusing.
