I'm glad you agree with someone for once, it's a first for you. Now don't respond to posts that aren't directed to you.

If you don't want a post answered by others, don't put it in a public thread. Use a PM.

How many times do you have to be told that exact dates are not going to be forthcoming until they are 100% firm. Otherwise, you have to put up with a very serious "soon" answer.

Finally a straight answer!!! Was that so hard????? Now what's the exact date of wave 2????

No exact date, testing still to be done. Things can change and often do, thus dates aren't announced until the very end. I'm sure you understand.

I shouldn't have to PM him, it's a topic of public interest. Plus, if you don't know the answer to a question, save everyone some time and don't respond to the question.

Well why have these channels been in test for 2 weeks? What's taking so long for them to go live? Either they work or they don't. Piss or get off the pot!

People use "soon" way too much on here. Jokingly or seriously, it's really getting old and I'm sick and tired of seeing it.

It ain't gonna change. Things happen when they happen.

BTW, you are assuming that the ONLY issue is testing the hardware and that all is working well. Maybe a fourth channel is having problems so we only get three this week. Maybe the contract specifies a "no earlier than" date. Maybe the contract isn't quite done (reference ION HD, which was in test for a long, long time). Maybe while the channels are in test, the people who have to process to make it real are not available or busy with something else.

These have been visited before and you may have forgotten. There are a lot of things that go on. This isn't dumping fries in hot oil and serving them with a cheeseburger.

And, if it weren't for Sixto, you wouldn't even know about those test channels at all.

You seem to be operating under the misunderstanding that the test area is a marketing tool used to tease and frustrate you, rather than a test area for D*. The name would generally give it away for most folks. . .
LR(non-CE): HR44, Mits 65C9; Office/FR (CE): HR22-100 + AM21, Mits 60737 + Mits 3DA1 3D adapter. Spare bedroom (non-CE), HR23. Genie WHDVR, wireless networking (yay!)

The answer to the question was provided.

There are these thing called contracts and agreements. They usually include specific dates for execution. Just because Sixto sees something doesn't mean it is actively being tested. At times it can be a placeholder until they are ready for public transmission for various reasons.

I haven't even told her yet. Damn, maybe I can convince her I'm a big shot that made it all happen. :) Somehow I think she'll know that isn't the case.

I'm well aware of what contracts are, I'm related to 4 civil lawyers. Being in testing for over a week is pretty uncommon though.

No it isn't.
