I happened to be changing sat channels in the program guide at about the time when a single sat timer was ending. I then had a PIP screen freeze that looked like still mode on a DVD. The still picture remained on the screen after leaving the guide. I could still view the guide, but selecting any channel displayed the same still frame. It remained even after turning off the 921.

A soft boot brought the channels back, but the guide display is corrupted. Only 6 lines of programs appear and there is a blank line at the bottom where the 7th should be. The program information is displayed in a white box and the program title is shifted up off the screen. The guide list name and locks icon are also misplaced. The guide colors are also different.

I will try a smart card boot later tonight to see if the menus return to normal.

1/26/2004 update: A smart card boot did not fix the guide display. A power off reboot did not fix the guide display. I spent one hour on the phone with a Dish tech performing all sorts of resets, but nothing restored correct guide display. All other menus and program display appear normal. He said there was no way to force the 921 to accept the 45 minute L145 update again which I think would be the only way to replace corrupted(?) guide display software.

Does anyone else have a corrupted guide display?
