The moisture is only really an issue tied to the cable connectors. I've heard the south gets some rain from time to time. :D

As for the heat...mine is in the basement, so the room temp never gets over about 72 degrees...and the unit never gets hot beyond the ability to touch it.

Yeah..the garage will get warm too...but at least its dry.

Maybe before summer I should get the protection plan. LOL
