Hopper unable to download anything in HD. I can download anything in SD, but when trying to download in HD it fails. This all started with the latest software update. I called advance tech support, and was told there is no fix for this problem. Sounds like they are aware of the issue, but will not exchange hopper, or send out a technician. So in short I'm paying for a service that is useless!

Dish is aware and it is a known problem. One conjecture is there may be many trying to download over the holidays, if this is the case, it should clear up on it's own in a couple of days. It is effecting Vip receivers as well as the Hopper so replacing your Hopper would be a waste of time.
