Protection Plan Question

I just dropped the protection plan a few days ago after carrying it for almost a year and a half... 2 days after i dropped it i was charge $10....
You need to drop it at the anniversary a date in order to avoid that $10 fee. Basically, you agree to hold the PP for a year and if you cancel early you are charged the $10. I's in the small print of the PP agreement.
Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet.
