I have HBO and Cinemax right now. I've had it for a few months and the programming is kind of slim right now. Once you see a few movies, they play the same one's, over and over, adnausium.

I've already gone through the lineup and selected the shows I want to record and see. Showtime has nothing for me.

And dont' forget, if you have DVR, anything you record during the freeview you'll see be able to see after it's over! So it's a great time to load up on some movies!

Cool, that mean I get a weekend credit for HBO, Starz/encore, Cinemax since I already pay for those.

Yea, Didn't think so.

I think Directv should BLOCK non paying subs from recording free preview content.
You want it you buy it!

Showtime used to be pretty sparse on good stuff to watch. Penn & Teller (yes i know that's gone now. :( ) Shameless, Californication, The Borgias, Dexter are awesome shows. The movie side of things is still hit or miss for me when compared to the others but eh. The series are what keeps me subscribing.

Now that Dexter is over, I think I will cancel Showtime but only after the Strikeforce event. Gotta see Josh Barnett fight again. Hopefully Dana White decides to bring him to the UFC.

I have Showtime free for a year when one time i threatened to cancel which could expire sometime this year, even though all that time not one peep of viewing, and last month i received Stars free for 6 months which i do see a few times when there's nothing else on to see but get too repetitive with their movies, but i never get any discounts with HBO or Cinemax(although a i did get small discount once for Cinemax) but then again with all these free previews it doesn't make much sense in subscribing unless you're into their Series shows

If you've never seen it, I highly suggest checking out Spartacus. It's third (and final) season starts on the 25th. It's my favorite show on TV next to GoT.

Also, Starz recently launched Starzplay.com, (works just like HBOGo, etc), so you can watch all the previosu Spartacus seasons/episodes there. I do suggest watching the Prequel before Season 1/2, will flow a little better :D

That is the point of a free preview...to entice customers to keep the channels.

So by your logic every time D* adds a new channel, you should be charged?

Has nothing to do with adding new channels.

I'm just trying to figure out why you think you are entitled to a credit for a free preview weekend?
