New HR34-700 "Genie" S-L-O-W Quicktune

Well, I'm just getting used to the new Genie that was installed yesterday and one thing that jumps right out; performance-wise, is how much slower Quicktune pops up compared to the HR24-500 I have. Will this improve once the unit has had a few days to settle in?
