Yep, that's all. Not very good.

Yeah, 4 years to go from zero to 10 million, while it took D* 8 years to hit that number with a far larger potential market. Yep, those folks at Epix are doing a terrible job all right!

Of course when Epix shows up on D* you'll be singing a different tune!

You just compared the number of subs for a channel to the number of subs for a tv provider. That's got to be the worst comparison ever.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

No. Not until they add content that can compete with what the other premiums offer.

Yeah, I did! :)

comparing a company that is selling into a far smaller market (ie; premium channels) to one that is selling to a very broad market is a bit of a stretch.

Let's just say that Epix is getting far more subscribers to their premium offering into a much smaller base of potential buyers than D* was in their 1st 8 years selling into a very broad market.

To me that says Epix has done wonderfully.

And as to what they are offering, well yes they do have somewhat limited offerings compared to HBO (@$18/month) or the others (@$14/month), but then they are only $7/month as a mini-premium.

And of course if they do that, then raise their rate to $18/month instead of $7/month, right? :)

The comparison is still ludicrous. I understand you love Epix (you post a billion times about your switch to Dish was for Epix & Reelz), but your rational is laughable here.

Perhaps, but no more so than those that back EVERYTHING that Directv does.

Not really.

Directv was dangled in front of 370 million american homes and Yet only 20 million choose them.

Yet Epix is only available to less then 50 million and yet 10 million subscribe.
And has done so in 4 years what took Directv 8 years to do with a fraction of the potential subscribers.

There's simply no reasoning if you really believe channel subscriber numbers are any way comparable to a tv providers number.

Also, your numbers are off. There's not 370 million people or homes in America. Here's a link... http://quickfacts.ce...ates/00000.html

Yeah cause a major installation is always as easy a sell as clicking a subscribe box on a website. And a $100 a month decision is comparable to one under $10.
