I can understand your point of view. The problem is that if customers don't call to complain, then they don't know how big of an outage they are having. When I called, I was reading him posts from this forum and letting him know what state they were in. So he knew better then to resort to sending a tech.

Did he ask me a couple things to do that caused me to chuckle about to myself, yes. I was just very persistent, patient and calm. Just made him look for to see if there was a notification about it and he finally did find one. Then I politely asked for a credit on my account and he obliged.

I told my CSR the same thing, but he told me he was an expert 4 year employee and knew the issue was on my end. Geez

A good place to check when something like this happens is on Twitter. Hundreds of tweets that CI and LP were off the air around the country.

And the first to announce it was a DirecTV problem was @DIRECTVService.

Free preview is thru "Jan 31st" as stated in the message.

But, when trying to watch NY Ranger games, I have to channel hunt.. either NHL Network, MSG, or the 700+ channels. My locals in Pennsylvania are Buffalo,NY channels.

So normally I get MSG, but they black out the Ranger games!! ugh.. and get the Sabres instead.

Just use the Scoreguide App pressing the red button on your remote, And choose the game playing and under that choose channel info for available channels that you can highlight over and select, That takes you to that specific channel. It's on any sport channel that shows the scoreguide message on the bottom screen.
