Da Vinci's Demons - STARZ-E - FAIL!

Is set to record an encore airing on Starz-Black on 4/13 and not the series premiere on Starz East on 4/12.

Also noticed that "Boardwalk Empire" is stuck on HBO2W same as "Game of Thrones" was.

That's a normal search.

Far In Advance is supposed to setup a working Series Manager for shows farther then 15 days away. So far it is failing on the working part as the shows when they get within the 14 days window of the ToDo List are NOT in the list.

Rather than start a new thread, I'm posting here in order to find out more about how Far in Advance is supposed to work. Does it work differently for shows that haven't started yet (i.e. shows that have premieres that are more than 14 days in the future) than it does for currently running shows like Revolution? I have a Series Link set up for Revolution and in the To do list, it only shows the next 2 episodes, but I know from other internet sites like IMDB that there are episodes scheduled to run up to June 3rd. Can someone explain why these future episodes don't show up when I do a search for Revolution?

P.S. I have also done some searches for shows listed earlier in this thread that have premeires scheduled for June (like Perception) and the premeires also don't show up. I have 2 HR24-500's with the current software (0x6bd).

The episodes don't show up because they aren't in the guide data.

I set up 2 series recordings for programs starting this week and next week about 4-6 weeks ago. Just noticed in the series manager list they showed (0) upcoming, but when click on the program name and went to View Upcoming, it showed this week and next (one tomorrow night) - with no recording indication.

Had to delete the the program in the series manager and then choose to record the series on tomorrow night's show to work.

Longmire - A&E - Failed miserably. It even shows at this very moment "Coming 05/27/2013" (had to delete and set up manually to catch a re-air later in this week)

It appears all of the following are going to work as expected come June 6.

Graceland - USA

Burn Notice - USA

The Hero - TNT

How it is any different than setting up SL? Don't it show up anyway when it shows up in the guide and records the shows when series recordings are set for future shows on first run setups? Maybe I'm not understanding FIA.

The difference is that you're not restricted to shows airing in the next 10-11 days - DirecTV has added "Coming soon" information for shows not scheduled for a new episode for months. You can then select this and set up a SL for it even with no upcoming showings.

I did this yesterday on my new HR44 and it generally worked well - at least the SLs were created. Will have to check on Longmire, which I did enter, but my recollection is that it found one.

Yep, there's no problem setting up a FIA series. It's the recording part that's not working most of the time.

It works pretty reliably for most stuff but not as well for shows on the big networks due to the multiple versions of network stations that appear in the guide, whether you receive them or not.  Most of the FIA SL's I have setup try to record on the channels in the 390's that of course I dont have because I have my locals via Sat and OTA...stations like FX, USA, or TNT, seem to work pretty flawlessly.

Is this limited to only shows that have more than one episode?

I tried to set up Skywire Live, it didn't work. http://skywire.discovery.com/

It did not work for the two new SyFy shows - Sinbad & Primeval: New World, but I having problems with 'em with the regular Series Manager because of their First Aired Dates which are not their United States First Aired Dates.

That would technically not be an FIA problem Drew....I have to setup my SL's for those foreign shows differently due to OAD's as well.

Months ago, two FIA Series Manager was setup for 'em. But both remain empty when the shows made into the two week period of the Guide.
