This coming Saturday is Hockey Day in Canada. Like previous years, the CBC goes live at noon eastern and then begins a series of games starting at 2:00 PM.

In the last few years the NHL Network has taken the CBC's coverage beginning at noon and then one or two of the games. This year all they are taking is the 6:30 Hockey Tonight program and then the Leafs and Montreal at 7.

So here's my question, will the non game programming beginning at noon be available as part of NHL Center Ice. As of this moment it's not on the schedule but I grant it's a bit early.

It's GREAT to see that the "Celebrating the Game" piece of Hockey Day in Canada is showing up in the on screen guide for noon on Saturday, Thank you DirecTV!

Here is a link from the NHL that confirms coverage on Hockey Day in Canada as part of the NHL Center Ice Package.
