I've recently noticed that two H25's cannot access recordings on an HR24 at the same time even if the 24 is turned off and not doing anything. If the 24 has two tuners, why can't the two H25's watch recorded programs at the same time?

The HR24 is only capable of streaming one show to whole-home at a time. It is not a function of how many tuners the HR24 has, it is a function of outgoing data streams. That is just how it was designed.

The HR34 has 5 tuners, but is only able to stream 3 things at once.

That explains it. Thanks for the info. I'm probably going to upgrade to the 34 in may. They tell me I'm elegible to upgrade free due to the PP.
