So was wondering if anyone has done the costco deal recently. I go online to the costco site and it clearly states limited time, extra 5 dollars for 12 months, when I click to go to the directv site, I see the 5 dollar off prices until I put in my zip code in which case the 5 dollar off prices are no longer there.

I'd be surprised it is still in effect. Costco stores have switched from Directv to Dish signups.

A Directv sales rep has at been at my local Costco for over two months now, as soon as you walk in. I see the same guy every week I go.

I don't think that's the case...

apparently I found the answer to the question here no thanks to DTV chat who were useless beyond useless. The 5 dollars a month off for 12 months isn't showing in the prices on the DTV landing page, but when I went to actually do the order, it did show up in the order cart. Seems like its a glitch or something.

I think it varies by location. The Costco stores in my area seem to be DISH oriented this month but that can (and often does) change. I suspect it has something to do with reaching a saturation point. My guess is they wobble back and forth every six months to a year. Either way, the deal is pretty much the same.
