I am looking at a FL vacation home and am considering getting Dish there.

Which sats are Florida locals on? Tampa, Orlando and south are the areas I am looking.

Thanks.

Most are WA, some may be on both. Jacksonville (north of what you are asking) is the only one where HD locals are EA only.

Installers, well at least in the Tampa area but I bet other places are going to want to install WA unless EA is the only possibility. Rain fade is more often and longer with EA. If where you will be has both ARC's, probably assume they will strongly want to use the WA. It has cut down on service calls. Florida is more prone to rain fade then as an example Ct. is.

Thanks. The places I have looked at so far have good line of sight for WA. EA not so much.

Are any Florida locals Conus on WA?

It appears that most of them are available on WA 110°, 119°, or 129°. One of our moderators, James Long, maintains a web site with a lot of information. Locals are listed at

Thanks. That is very helpful. A lot of work went into that list! Thanks James.

Interesting that Tampa HD locals are on both 129 and 61.5.

I see you have good answers already; I also wanted to add Orlando gets the 119, 129, 72.5 and 61.5, orbital slots.

Do you have full exposure to the WA? Also when was it installed. Many were installed with the EA but after awhile it was switched to the WA as the recommended install.

I would say it just about three years or maybe just shy of that when the preferred install changed to WA.
