Can I run a SWM-2 off a SWM-8 leg?

Provided I have enough tuners left (only 4 being used) on an SWM-8, can I use an SWM-2 at the end of one leg, or do I have to run a separate line directly from the SWM-8?

If you're talking about green splitters, yes you can put a 2-way on an 8. Just be careful with line lengths off the 8-way. VOS has some recommended 'not to exceed' lengths in a post here somewhere.

A little late to this thread, but I think the nomenclature should be clarified.

I think the OP is actually talking about SWSx splitters.
SWMx refers to the single wire multiswitches.
DirecTV since '96, Waivers for ABC, CBS, NBC, & Fox, HR23-700 & HR24-500/AM21, using ethernet based MRV.

Yes, and there's also so the continued old confusion here of available SWiM tuners with available SWiM splitter ports.
