Apparently a few jobs i ran into the clients never did the firmware update. Those clients then refuse to turn back on once turned off unless rbr is performed.

Turned out both jobs had bad cabling somewhere in the home. The lines were replaced but the clients still never updated.

One job the clients randomly updated 3-4 days later even after trying several reboots of everything and also several software downloads on the genie.

Once flashed, the clients worked perfect.

I now have one last job where the client refuses to update after the new cable was installed. Going on 4 days now.

Anything that can be done to make the update happen now?

Other than rebooting both, not really.
Opinions expressed by me are my own and do not necessarily reflect
those of DBSTalk.com, DIRECTV, DISH, The Signal Group, or any other company.

weird, it never updated.

Stopped by cx house, unplugged Wireless CCK, put client right next to genie via 2 way, it did immediate flash update.

Put client back in position in basement. No further problems!
