I guess this is why they usually don't specify dates. Maybe something went wrong with the picture quality or something during testing?

My guess is that Bloomberg Television HD will probably get added by the middle of the month. I lose track; but last year we had the experience with at least one programmer having been put in test mode and not becoming officially added for a two- to three-week period.

Coolman302003,

Does Nick Jr. or Teen Nick even have HD channels? I know it was talked about before but VH1 classic doesn't have a 24/7 HD feed. Time Warner Cable has all the other ones in your list.

I'd like to see more kids programming in HD, if anything so its available on the iPad streaming. Little screens for little people.

Wikipedia.org says no.

I think Viacom just put that stuff in On Demand under the banner of those particular programmers. That there is no 24/7 of any of them. (Though I thought there was a linear HD of Nick Jr. Last December, I downloaded from On Demand a 23-minute animated program.)

ION HD and TCM HD were the ones, with ION HD being the longest wait from test to being available to subscribers.

I guess this is why they usually don't specify dates. Maybe something went wrong with the picture quality or something during testing?

Remember Satelliteracer never mentioned anything about Bloomberg HD was launching on April 1st with the others.

Does Nick Jr. or Teen Nick even have HD channels?

I have heard rumors on AVSForum that Viacom is tentatively planning to launch some of those in HD later this year but nothing confirmed for sure. I also read on AVSForum that TeenNick HD has been uplinked on C-Band by Viacom for about a year but no idea if there is actual HD content on there or simply upconverted, and I do not think they have any providers distributing it either.

The only two channels left on my own wish list are Military and The Hub. I'm a nearly-happy camper :D

Sixto saw IONEHD go into test on 8/8 and it went live on 9/19. So, six weeks on that one.

No one has acknowledged Bloomberg HD, thus no indication as to what the timing is. It may have just been easy to add the guide entries when they did with FSSD and OWN.
DirecTV: Genie, H25, CCK, GenioGo, SWiM-16 & SWiM-8, DECA to Gigabit Switch with FiOS (75/35)
FiOS: Roamio Pro's (2), Roamio Plus, Mini's (4) with Ultimate HD (My Roamio Thoughts)

Oh and what is this "the blaze" channel that so many people are requesting on the Facebook wall of both DirecTv and my local cable company?

Glenn Beck's channel.
If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

You mean the one that these single minded people post about on totally unrelated topics like that would work?

Seems to be a lot of the same channels people keep asking for while not the most popular to certain people they are their favorites (Fox Movies, The Hub, Military). I could see Fox Movie Channel being high on the list, but not sure it would happen soon as Fox Networks is rumored to be rebranding it FX Movies so maybe after that change over.

The Hub is a channel I would really like in HD after that is my sports need/desire to see Pac 12 and DirecTV stop their arguing back and forth and work out a deal before we hit the fall. Besides that I would like to see Universal Sports in HD would probably make me want to order Sports Pack again.

Say what is this channel 288 Go TV, all infomercials. How did it get added to my "favs" list on both my recievers?

OWN HD should of been added as the number is the same as SD and that HD to SD relationship exists, but new channel numbers should not be added.

Hey! You leave sigma1914 out of this! !rolling

FAITH: I find the lack of it disturbing.

Opinions are my own but should be those of all Americans, who would be much better off intellectually, psychologically, and emotionally if that were the case.

I have noticed that if you record the SD Encore Channels live they are in 480i, but if you download the same content from their On Demand channels, they show up in 480p, which is twice as good picture quality.

Also, not sure if TheBlaze is in HD yet but a lot of people are requesting it.

What I heard is that the FXM evening "block" on FMC is moving to its own channel later this year. So there would actually be two movie channels at that point, and some folks might want one or the other, and other folks might want both.

No problem requesting it but the same people show up on Facebook when the topic is the basketball tournament or game of thrones or anything. Difficult to take requests seriously when they are so off topic.
