:mad:Is it just me or does anyone else have the problem with Pandora cutting songs off constantly ? I have recently upgraded to Jeanie and still have 2 other DVR''s still at my location (HR24 500) I have not tried them but the Jeanie is doing this all the time.
I wonder if Pandora is doing it themselves?

What software version is on your Genie?:)
Its NOT Pandora doing this unless you're over your 40 hours per month of free listening.

I was under the impression that the 40 hour limit only applied to Mobile streaming

That's could be, I really didn't read that much into it. I've paid $3.99 per month for about 18 months now so it wouldn't apply to me anyway.:)

I think it's the Genie, I used Pandora on a HR44 earlier this week, and every now and then it would change mid song. None of my boxes had done that before and yes I have a subscription.

See post My Setup for configuration info.

If its like mine, It cuts off the last 5 -10 seconds of the songs.
Its Random though, not every song but quite a few. It was fixed on a past software release but now its back, Along with my VOD shutter that happens when downloading OD content.

HR 23 doesn't have either of these issues.

And another reason why I got another HR24 instead of the Genie, Is just too many issues reporting here that scares me away from it.

Well I can tell you for sure , I'm not hooking up any of those C31's to it.
My Next client will be the HR 24.:)

I was planning to get the new HR44 when it hits my market and available, but with the early bugs reporting, I'll probably wait a little longer if I decide to get it.

I May look into the HR44 if and When Directv may allow 2 Genies per account.

But for now I'm not doing any equipment upgrades that would affect my Commitment.

I can Lease a HR24 without a commitment for $299. I already called Directv and they gave me the whole rundown for Buying or Leasing terms and prices.
So I,m thinking about my options.

But no HR 44 for at least a year for me.:)

I have the HR34 and have had this same problem. It will cut off like 5 songs in a row half way through and then play several perfectly and then cut some more off. Frustrating, yes. Enough to not have a Genie, nope! I have had very few glitches with my HR34. It always amazes me how one new software release can affect so many subscribers in different ways.

My 34 and 44 both cut off about 3 seconds or so of a song. My 34 has been doing it since they added Pandora to the 34.

I rarely have that problem on the 24 although randomly 1 or 2 songs would cut off.

Pandora terrible today on my HR34 Genie. Clipping off many songs. Sometimes even clipping and stopping. Then I have to hit "next" from the remote, to get it going again. This is unacceptable. Does D* know about the problem? Does it do any good to complain?
