Watched it. Not as bad as I feared but still trending uncomfortably.

Did you catch when Shakira said she's becoming a country fan as well? :P

IIRC, the only one that hasn't sung a country song yet is Michelle.

I'm not sure the producers want the fans to equate the show as Country. It could have a bad outcome on ratings.

Another great show last night, IMHO. My favorite performances last night were Sasha 1 and 2, Swons 1 and 2, Daniele 2, Amber 2 and Michelle 1.

Based on the past 2 weeks, I'm thinking either Sasha or the Swons could take it all.

I only watched half of it. I'll get to the tail-end tonight. Still, I agree with your comments regarding a projected winner. I guess I must have watched the better half last night.

It's getting very interesting. The Swon Brothers nailed both of their performances last night. I listened to their studio versions this morning and the Bob Seger tune was actually better on the live show.

Danielle is soooo very razor sharp accurate that IMHO she could take it, like Cassadee Pope did last year.

Nah. You're in for a treat in the second half, IMHO.

Agree the Swons were awesome last night. The first Danielle song left me cold, but I thought the second was fantastic. And I loved the judges' comments about her afterwards. That said, IMHO, Sasha has nailed four songs in a row over the past two weeks. She's on a tear!

Sorry to say that I wasn't a Cassadee fan last year, nor during her guest shot this year.

Ooh!

See if we agree. I liked all the second song performances, except Michelle's, and she wasn't bad. I didn't like hers because it wasn't different enough from the original singer, an extremely tough act to follow, IMHO.

Watched the second half of the competition episode. I tend to agree with you. As for Michelle, I'm not into her Cindy Lauper thing at all.

I haven't watched the elimination episode, but I know who left. Seems like my #1 and #2 have been sent packing. I still have a third horse in the race. I'll be rooting for it.

I expected to see 2 of the 3 that got in, but I'm unhappy with the third choice.

The Finale is in the can but I read the results.  I'm happy for the winner.  It could have been worse.

I feel the same.

Very enjoyable finale, BTW. Kudos to the producers, especially for the bit about how Blake is underrated as a coach, compared to Usher. Had me LOL-ing! :P

Loved the result. Would have swapped the second with the third place finisher, but I imagine they'll come out pretty well regardless.

The solo Blake did with his protegée was almost incestuous! I could believe he was actually in love with her, and she with him. Perhaps just great acting and presentation......

Haven't watched it yet ... but from the comments from you two, I'm in for a treat.

No real secret who I was rooting for, but, oh well, there's a bright future in the offing.

Sometimes, the losers end up being the winners ... kinda makes you wonder what was the voting public thinking?

I just finished the final two shows ... I could have done without the singalong at the beginning of Monday night's show. It seemed to be poorly rehearsed with the judges missing their marks. Tuesday's show was the typical finale. 115 minutes of fluffy buildup leading up to "and the winner is ...". After a while I'm really glad I watched next day and could zip zip zip past Cher and the other fluff to get to the results.

I wonder where they will be a year from now and who the winners will be? All three have an opportunity thanks to being finalists on the show. What are Javier Colon, Jermaine Paul and Cassadee Pope doing?

Hopefully everyone will benefit from the exposure they get from the show.

Ain't FF a gem?? I think I must have averaged under 15 minutes per one hour show, FF'ing through the fluff, the back stories, the coaching sessions, much of the coaches commentary,  as well as commercials.

The FF button can be dangerous too.  It's so very easy to skip over nuances and other relevancies. If not used judiciously, you can end up with less than the full story.  I use it a lot for skipping commercials, though. :righton:
