Display Standard Def in 4:3 and not Stretched

I don't see a way of specifying that a 4:3 Standard Def picture be displayed natively/naturally, and not "stretched" fat people.

 

Am I missing some setting?

 

My TV settings haven't changed from my 722k days.

Assuming it is not your TV to blame...

 

The asterisk (*) key on the remote does the same thing on all Dish receivers... which is to toggle through various stretch, zoom, black bar, grey bar modes.  You should try toggling that to see.
