That doesn't mean it couldn't be the TV. You seem kind of defensive when asked to provide information is all.
If you want help, you have to give info. Most of us here aren't Dish employees anyway, so we are helping out of the spirit of generosity... Outside of the DIRT reps who are Dish employees, the rest of us can only help as much as we are able to understand your specific configuration.
Overheating due to improper airflow around devices and electrical problems in the home are common culprits for the behavior you are describing. You said signal levels were good, but I'm not sure if you said what they were... You seem to be the only one having this specific problem, so it almost has to be something specific to you or your home.
I had a $2500 TV that didn't last as long as a $1500 TV, for that matter, so talking about the cost of your TV doesn't make a difference to anything. TVs can develop problems too... but that does bring up an interesting point. You say you don't have HD, only SD... and yet you have a 3-year old $1500 TV... how did you manage to spend that much on a recent TV and not get an HDTV?
