Will directv be caring ESPN buzzer beater

No way to know for sure until the new deal is done, but it seems likely they would carry everything sports-related ESPN has available if for no other reason than Disney will probably make them take everything as a condition of the deal.

Because of the way Disney reportedly conducts their negotiations, it is difficult to add stuff in the middle of a contract - they want you renew to the whole contract which makes it too expensive to do for small stuff like Buzzer Beater or WatchESPN. SEC Network seems to have been an exception because they want to be able to announce it has the most successful launch of a new sports network (which seems assured, BTN had a few notable holdouts at the time it launched)

So if Directv is lucky, ESPN has something new they'll launch just in time for Directv to be the first ones to carry it and customers of other providers will keep complaining "when are we going to get this, Directv has had it for years!" If we're unlucky, they'll introduce it a month after the new Directv contract, and like WatchESPN Directv will be the last to carry it :)

Fortunate or unfortunate depends on if one wants everything ESPN has to offer (including non-sports channels). As an illustration of ESPN's "power", SEC and Longhorn are both in the "AT120+" package on DISH. That is the level DISH created which is equivalent to "Entertainment" plus one's own RSN(s) without jumping up to the "Choice" equivalent package. Yes, if you subscribe to any RSN via DISH you get SEC and Longhorn.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) ESPN is allowing BuzzerBeater GoalLine BasesLoaded to be in the Sports Package on DISH. Perhaps DirecTV can give it the same placement. It is a channel worth having (similar to MLB Strike Zone and NFL RedZone).

If it is anything worth carrying hopefully ESPN will do what they can to get it added to as many carriers at possible at launch. Who knows ... ESPN's renewal may include "and a channel to be named later" in their package. :D

They play Herbie Goes Bananas 24/7. It is an auto racing channel. :)

(Actually, it is the channel for dodgeball.)

The more the merrier but buzzer beater and goal line are pretty meh, actually. They only cover espn games (of course) and stay with single games way too long. Nowhere near the quality or quantity of red zone (directv's or the nfl's).

counting just 24/7 tv channels the next one would be the 8th one. ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classics, ESPNU, Longhorn Network and now SECN makes 7

You forgot ESPN Deportes.

ESPN already has 8, therefore SEC Network is now the Ocho.

may i ask are you saying The Longhorn Network is coming with the SEC Network or when the ESPN contract renewed? in a few months

No one actually knows for sure, its not a done deal, but its likely to come when they do reach a new agreement, and there is no timetable for when that might happen.

Which then begs these questions:

What is the duration the new Directv/ESPN deal?

When will the ACC Network become reality?

Will those dates coincide, or will the ACC Network (which in all probability also be managed by ESPN), have to be negotiated as an add-on?

It will be on 358 when it gets added

Was that response was for Fusion TV?   Because that would be a bad channel placement before Fox News and Business.

ESPN has an option on the ACC network. They can pay the schools I believe 2 million per year not to create the network. Since it is an already known channel, DTV would be smart to include an option to add it without having to renegotiate everything.
