The proposed new head of the FCC is a former head of the national cable TV organization.  As a satellite TV customer I don't have a warm fuzzy feeling about this.  At least he's not from the OTA broadcasters but I still doubt he'll be supportive of expanding satellite TV.

He's not only a Cable TV lobbyist, but a wireless broadband/cell-phone lobbyist. He's also the guy who has been advising the FCC to do away with broadcasting, and sell all of the spectrum to the big internet/wireless monopolies.

We'd all be better off it it had been a broadcaster that was nominated.
