I have 48% free right now on my HR20-700.  I have a 1TB drive and enjoy having the option of keeping multiple seasons of shows on hand and not worrying about watching and deleting movies right away.

my old set up: R22 with everything recorded in HD had about 12%, room for two baseball games and recorded one half an hour series. i have had that thing full for a long time. my HR22 i would fill it up every free preview and then delete. usually got it down to 25% then back up to 98%.

now: Genie 30% (Starz)

HR22 (replaced): 80% (-)
