Moving into a new house..  want to know if this would be possible....

House has coax everywhere...   I use Moca for everything now so i would want to use DECA

Initial run from Dish to Splitter would be 25 ft..  all other runs less then 75ft

Connection Would go

Incoming to 8-Way Splitter

3 legs to 3 Bedrooms.

1 leg to LR where it would feed the main box

1 Leg to an Office where it would split to provide TV and another DECA box for network access

1 leg to CCK kit to connect to router

Looking at the receivers in your sig, that should work. Just be aware that using the DECA cloud for Internet/Home Network access for other devices is not a supporter setup. Also, while you might not experience any issues, having other devices on the DECA cloud, could cause playback issues when using MRV and also connectivity issues with regards to MRV. Also, make sure you terminate any unused ports on the splitter and coax ends.

Today's problems don't worry me, I haven't solved yesterday's yet.

Not sure that I would want to use a 2 way (or bigger) splitter after an 8 way is already being used.

I don't think the loss would be that significant using an 8-way and then a 2-way in that it would cause problems.

The losses "might be" on the edge, so I "wouldn't want to" either, but if I had to, there might be 5 dB "to spare" that I'd need to count on.

But those 5 dB to spare does not take in to account fittings, ground blocks, cable length (biggie), temperature changes, etc.  rule of thumb is to not use any more splitter after an 8 way is already being used.

That's a good rule.

Sometimes you can't always play by the rules, which is where/when you need to check things a bit more.
