And you may be one of the few people grandfathered in if you got your Genie before (it's some date in January or December). But yeah, it is true, whether you want whole home or not.

AHHH, that's why! You are fortunate enough to be grandfathered in. If you got it recently well...see this thread. :D

Works for me.  Not interested in Whole Home at this time.  Just needed the extra tuners for my main DVR.

Well, I just activated a Genie last week and simply called to cancel Whole Home when I deactivated my HR21. It shows as "Not eligible" on my account page.

It'll start showing up on your bill.

Not eligible to cancel it?

Not eligible to activate. It shows as not activated, and there's already a credit on my account for the partial month.

Huh.  MRV is the first thing I've liked since it came out.  Different strokes...

this is how it looks basically

Also if you are getting this message and you DO get this channel, no need to call in :-)

Go to directv.com then go to my account then go to equipment then refresh services. Easy as pie.

Or I can just change channels and then go back. Easier than pie ;)

Not sure what you are trying to say here. If you are not getting a channel, no matter how many times you go back, it would not come in. Channel needs to be added to your account just as the "ad" says

What I was trying to say, is that I do get the channel, I was even watching it. I switched to another channel, then when I went back I got that error message. I changed channels again, went back, and it appeared again.

Only reason I'm resurrecting this thread again is because THIS month's bill is only $43 bucks, down from $50 which was up from $46.00 The weirdness continues.

And looking at your three monthly bills, what changed?

The amount of discounts. All I did was cancel my free HBO/Showtime which expired July 3rd. I was told at that time there are no other discounts available at this time.

My guess is some of that fluctuation may have been partial credit for the month of the canceling of HBO etc.

No, it was the free three months that I got when I re-signed with Directv. It was expiring on July 4th so I cancelled July 3rd.

If you could be more specific (what changed when you went from $46/mo to $50/mo and then to $43/mo), maybe you could get a specific answer. But until you do, all anyone here can provide is speculation as to why your bill is so 'weird.'

$43, $46, $50 per month. I wouldn't be too concerned. It appears you are getting a bargain at any of those prices!
