For Directv  HR34 Genie DVR. If I record from Sept. to May without watching till May, how many series can I record at about 24 episodes a series(some 1hour & some 1/2 hour) without filling up storage capacity.

It would hold about 8 24 episode series if all are HD and one hour long. You get about 200 hours of HD recording space.

If you fill up your HR34, you probably will never be able to watch it all.

I would guess closer to 250 hours.

Never is a long time. I just finished watching Chuck and I have one or two episodes left before I finish off January 2012.

250 hours HD.

Only you know what you are recording.  Just add them up.

250 hours are 500 1/2 hour episodes or 250 1 hour episodes or any variation in between.

Assuming they are all 1 hour episodes:

8 X 24 = 192 hours

It will not fill up the Hard Drive Space.  You should get between 200-250 Hours of HD Space on your HR34.

It'll say the date and record new episodes just like you were told MULTIPLE times in your other threads.
