I have a reply for that, but this site is rated PG....

The dog channel is PG as well, no actual sex but there is some occasional sniffing.

I don't think that a 1080p set makes much difference since the channel is in SD.

Being SD or HD has no effect, it is all about the frame rate and frame interpolation.  Dog's visual acuity is actually pretty poor so they can't even tell the difference between SD and HD (they have something like 20/75 vision).  But their eyes refresh much quicker than ours.  So a normal TV to them looks more like a flipbook or something moving around in a room with a strobe light looks to us.  A 120Hz or 240Hz TV with frame interpolation turned on to them looks like normal TV does to us.

Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed. Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, "It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver."
