Maybe making some room for some more HD premiums?

HR34-700  /  C31-700  /  HR24-500 / HR23-700  /  H25-100

Slimline 5 / SWiM 16 / Premier / HD Xtra / MLB EI  / MRV

It's a lot more than just those 3:
http://news.directv....channel-lineup/

TMC East to 553
TMC West to 554
TMC Xtra to 555
Flix to 556
Sundance to 557
IFC to 564
Hallmark Movie Channel to 565
HDNet Movies to 566
MGM HD to 567
Sony Movie Channel to 568
Universal HD to 569
Smithsonian Channel to 570
Crime & Investigation to 571
Palladia to 572
Shorts HD to 573

I guess that explains why all the private network broadcasts moved from the 570s to the 9500 range. It also leaves a nice range between 558 - 563 open.

Kind of make you wonder if they are adding Epix in that location.

Sports? That range in the 500's is between premiums and HD Extra Pak. Sports wouldn't make sense there. More premiums or some HD only additions to HD Xtra. Movieplex / Indieplex is Starz/Encore, so that should but up against Starz or Encore if there's room.

I could see Epix maybe. Or some HD only stuff like the .TV's that Verizon has, or Africa TV, Wealth TV, or a few others.

Thank you for posting this, jamieh1!

Essentially the HD Extra Pack programming are each advanced five slots.

EPiX screens could fit between chs. 560 to 563. (However, I've had the impression that DirecTV intends not to carry them.)

How about where to fit Encore screens of MoviePlex, IndiePlex, and RetroPlex? (New contract between Starz Entertainment LLC and DirecTV, to expand carried programming, was announced around April 2012.)

Personally, I would have moved AMC Networks's IFC and Sundance Channel near AMC and We TV in the 200s. (They don't seem like premiums anymore. Especially not with IFC.)

Maybe Satelliteracer can chime in and tell us why DirecTV is doing this.

Let me guess (for the hell of it):

534 MoviePlex

543 RetroPlex HD

544 IndiePlex HD

560 EPiX HD

561 EPiX2 HD

562 EPiX3 HD

563 EPiX Drive-In

Sounds logical .   But one never knows.

Directv did say they had no intent at that time to add Epix, but they also said it was still an option per their agreement with Viacom if Directv chose to.

" As part of the overall carriage agreement, DIRECTV has an option to add the EPIX service to its entertainment offerings "

I was at Wikipedia.org's site, and here is a link to cable-television programming, from the United States, concerning premium-movie networks…

I'm inclined to consider the newly establishing slots between chs. 558 to 563 enough to place Epix (and all four of its screens). It's also enough for FEARnet. And it is enough, around Encore, to consider the expansion of the expected MoviePlex, IndiePlex, and RetroPlex in the channel ranges of the 530s and 540s.

This doesn't mean it's all coming; but, then again, why do some remapping (with Hallmark Movie Channel, going to ch. 565, still first in sequential order)—effective [Wednesday,] 07.31.2013—if this is not the intent of DirecTV?

Do series passes automatically adjust themselves if the underlying channel number is revised?  Surely yes?  I hope so.

Yes.  Should be no issues with recordings.
