Along with Tommyknockers, they are doing a version of Rosemary's Baby, Plymouth, one on Hillary Clinton and apparently had already announced Cleopatra.

Greenblatt stressed the importance of event series and must-see live programming at NBC....
Hmmm. "The Voice" I understand. The rest not so much
Somehow I don't see this as a smart move by the NBC broadcast network. They have a poor history of shelling out big bucks for programming about which NoBody Cares. After all, "Smash" was Greenblatt's first big programming move at NBC.
I think in the move to NBC he abandoned his roots at the Fox Broadcasting Company where he ran prime-time programming and developed such shows as the original "Beverly Hills, 90210", "Melrose Place", "The X-Files", and "Party of Five" and Showtime where he developed "Weeds", "Dexter", "The Tudors", "Nurse Jackie", and "United States of Tara".
But what do I know?

I still regard Smash warmly. So much for Broadway Musicals done well.

I can't say I am either, but didn't want to go down that particular rabbit hole
Didn't CNN cancel a Hillary show too?
