Is a specific Joey somehow tied to a specific Hopper? I have a friend who has a single Hopper system (no Joeys), and he wants to see if the ancient coax in his walls would work with a Joey before he considers an upgrade. I'm willing to let him try my Joey to determine this, but there isn't any point if my Joey will only work with my Hopper.

Thanks,

Bill

Joeys should only work with a Hopper on the same account. It may still work for your test ... enough to get an error saying "if you want to use this Joey with this Hopper call DISH and have it added to this account" (or something along those lines).
