Whew, The installer just left after 6 hours on a HR-44 upgrade. All I wanted was for him to swap a D-12 for the Genie and put in a SWiM-16 since I would have 10 tuners. 5 on the Genie, 2 on a HR-24 and 3 H25's. Things went bad quick when he hooked the power line in to the wrong port in the switch and after that only one leg of the switch would work. He found a new SWiM-16 and put that in but nothing would work at all with the new switch. He then put the old switch back on and got one leg working to power 8 tuners with two of the H-25's left unhooked. The two DVR's see each others play list but none of the H-25's will see either of the DVR's. The say no networked DVR's found but they saw the Hr-24's playlist before he came. He will be back in the morning with another tech to see if they can figure it out. He took out the CCK and plugged the Ethernet cable directly into the HR-24. He said he had never seen anything like this before and he suspects bad cabling but all the receivers worked fine before and work fine now when they are hooked into one side of the switch. I am at a loss, can any of the experts here figure this out. Each receiver has been reset a dozen times.

Thanks

First, take the ethernet out of the 24. Use the 44 to do it.

If you stop responding to them or put them on ignore, then eventually they'll go away.

First, take the ethernet out of the 24. Use the 44 to do it.

Or [for now] connect the CCK back up and keep it until everything gets sorted out.

The Ethernet connected to the 24 disabled it's DECA.

Sorry, I should have said he plugged it into the HR-44 not the 24.

Best to wait to the new SWM16 so this can be configured properly.

Problem solved, they sent out three techs and basically redid the install. The put in a new SWiM 16, new cable from switch to the PI, new splitters, and removed a splitter that wasn't needed. Everything works now, all of the receivers can see each other and play back from the DVR's.

Thanks

Sounds like the SWM or the PI got fried...
