The Excel attachment now reflects the new Nielsen Local Television Market Universe,

Designated Market Area (DMA) Rankings for the 2013-2014 Season.  These Rankings are effective September 28, 2013.

This Excel page will be included in forthcoming TPN Map weekly postings.

It is interesting to watch the evolving demographics.

There are big winners:  Austin, up 7 slots in the past two years

There are big losers:  Birmingham, down 5 slots in the past two years.

The Number of TV Homes for 2014 will be updated when that data is released.

EDIT 9/10/13:

The preliminary DMA Rankings document in this thread has been removed.  The most current DMA Rankings are always found as a part of the weekly TPN Map Excel published in the Directv Tips and Resources Forum.

According to your chart, Reno, NV went up one slot, but it isn't indicated in the delta
"In many ways, this opera does fulfil my often quoted description of what most operas is about. The tenor is trying to sleep with the soprano, and the baritone is trying to stop them." - Sean Bianco, KXPR At The Opera

Your are right.  My omission error.  Reno has moved up from slot 108 to slot 107 and should show as a +1 in the delta.
