Directv swapped out my HR34 for an HR44 today, and I know it takes a while for the guide data to update, so I can set shows to record more than a day or so out, but curious how long it will take before I can see shows a couple weeks out, and is there any way to "force" the guide data to update quicker?

No, you just have to be patient. It will take a couple of days or more to load 2 weeks worth of data.

You can use the web for Guide info, but to set up Series Links that don't start for a while, you will wait a day or so...

if the data is not on the receiver, using the web wont help.

Please re-read what I said. Your "correction" is unfounded.
