Oneof the greatest movies ever made, and certainly the best cinematic intepretation of War and Peace was Soviet director Sergei Bondarchuk's 1967 version. It is, undoubtedly, one of the greatest motion pictures ever made. It is long, released in two parts in this country, and four parts in the original version, shown in the Soviet Union. And various versions are available in DVD. If you can, get an uncut version with English subtitles.

Audiobooks are my source of knowledge, but those 60 hours were long.
