I just had the lnb replaced last month and the tech inspected everything else and they were all fine. Now I am having problems with picture freezing. Only certain channels like the locals, espn, the weather channel and now nickelodeon. What could be causing this? Could the lnb be bad again? Could it be the genie?

Also how can I fix the fact that when it rains heavy I lose signal until it lightens up? This is only for a few minutes now but what if the downpour goes on for hours and I am without signal all that time? Also what about if it snows heavy? If it does that for rain I can only imagine snow and ice.

I had directv 5 or 6 years ago and never had a problem with rain fade. Of course the dish was on the roof of the house. How can I fix these issues?

Go into Menu/ Settings and look at your SAT signal strengths in good weather

What are the signals?

Particularly these SATS

This is pretty much normal and expected of satellite TV

Downpours usually don't last that long....

Snow falling has no effect as long as it does not covers the dish, and even if it did, you have a pole mount so you can clean it right off

Did you have SD and NOT HD back then,  there is a big difference

Great signal strengths, certainly not an alignment issue. Could be an intermittently bad lnb or maybe your receiver/dvr is going.

what about the 79 on 18 and 63 on 26? Are those normal?

I just had the lnb replaced 2 weeks ago.

Those are spot beam transponders.

since the signal is good and the lnb was just replaced two weeks ago what else could cause the picture to freeze intermittently? Also why does it take 30 seconds for the genie mini to pickup the picture when changing channels?

I had a problem with my HR 44 freezing and could only be fixed by a red button reset.  It happened every few days for a while, but has gotten better over time, possibly due to software updates. It hasnt frozen for several weeks now and I really like the Hr 44...big improvement over the HR 24 I had.
