I cannot figure out why certain channels have intermittent outages of service. They tend to occur at night and it is not every night. The Channels I have noticed being out at TBSHD (247), ESPNHD (206), TruTVHD (246), TNTHD (245), HBOHD (501). I have been through plenty of material on the transponders and what channels are associated with them and it appears that these should have good enough signal strength to work. The only Satellite locations that seem to have no signal are the 99° ones both © & (s) and a few transponders on 103°(s) 1, 17, & 18. I am at a loss and not really sure how to resolve this and being an intermittent problem I do not want to waste time and money on a service call. Any ideas on how to get these channels back in order?

I would take a  closer look at your sat 99W signal strength. My guess is you need to peak your dish.  HBOHD (501) uses tp7, TBSHD (247) uses tp12 and the other 3 channels on your list all use tp13. Good luck :)

Others that have had similar issues tracked it down to condensation.

Yeah, if it only happens intermittently but mostly night it is a LNB going bad. Call Directv and they'll send someone out to replace it and you should be back to normal.

What is "good enough signal"?
