Did a search for 3d and came up empty handed.  Moving some TV around getting a new TV for the family room. Best Buy has a sweet black friday deal on a passive 3d tv. I know Direct has 2 channels but I don't see a whole lot of anything else. PPV content, other channels devoted to 3D

Are there other threads that I just missed?  Any discussion on future channels or PPV 3d movies.

The excitement over 3D has sort of dimmed. As far as I know the only 3D content out there is from movies, and I don't expect that to change.

I've had a 3D TV for about 3 years.  Haven't used it after the first few months other than for ESPN-3D.  However, ESPN-3D is dead, so we never use it.

My suggestion - save your money.

When I bought a 3DTV, I bought a few 3D Blu-rays but was always sure to buy the non-3D versions at the same time. My next TV probably won't be 3D and as such I've preserved my investment.

3D Blu Rays don't also include a non-3D version? What a ripoff!

No, they come with the 2d version, but generally more expensive. Though sometimes to get certain bonus features etc, you have to get the set with 3d, digital copy etc.
