SonicTap Holidays channel should on 801 currently. It was moved to a different satellite for the season to allow more access.

Pandora is another option.

One which lets you watch programming and can alternate between program audio and Pandora music.

Edit: Forgot to answer the question. There is a "Holiday" station.

I've moved this to the DIRECTV Programming forum.

Since it costs 2.4¢ to produce a penny, my 2¢ worth is really 4.8¢ worth.  That 4.8¢ is my own and not the 4.8¢ of DIRECTV, Dish, or anyone else for that matter.

Anyone, please, what is the encoding/bitrate we get via Sonic Tap? If I recall right, Pandora via DirecTV is 128 kbps....(?)

You recall correctly about Pandora (all in-home devices get 128kbps AAC from that service).  As for SanicTap, I have no idea, but in my experience Pandora seems to sound better (that doesn't necessarily mean it's a higher bit rate, though).

Sonic Tap/DMX transmits using mp3-320 files except for it's classical music channels which still run CD's.  The satellite feed they send out directly to business customers is of the same quality but I have no idea what the "equivalent" bit rate is after DIrecTV runs it through their processors and converts it to their format.  Considering what little bandwidth an audio channel takes and the fact that DirecTV runs about 4 music channels per transponder, I would assume that it is very close to mp3-320 quality audio.
